Winner of the 2017 Music Nova Scotia Country Album of the Year, Makayla boasts more than 1 million video views from 50,000 social media fans. The Taylor Guitars artist plays more than 100 shows a year in front of crowds as large as 30,000 and at iconic venues such as The Bluebird Cafe and Cavendish Beach Music Festival to name a few. Makayla is being mentored by some of the best in Nashville which she now calls home every other month until she graduates in June, and will make the move permanent. She spends her days writing with hit writers at some of the biggest publishing companies in music city and spends her nights playing shows that range from songwriters circles to full band showcases. Casey May – Casey May (25) is a Canadian Recording Artist and Singer/Songwriter from the small town of Stewiacke Nova Scotia. With influences spanning from the likes of Vince Gill and The Eagles to John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran Casey keeps his pop rock sensibilities rooted in a more bluesy/folk lane. Known for a strong acoustic performance that won him 2017 Canaan Horizon Artist of the Year ($10,000) Casey has become a staple in Truro, NS, with reoccurring appearances at venues such as Belly Up and The Nook and Cranny (You can catch him every Thursday at Belly Up). Coming off a strong debut album in 2015 (Eden), Casey plans on a second release mid-2018.
